Costs and Funding

Private counselling or supervision sessions cost $98.  Usually sessions last for about 50 minutes.  Payment is by cheque or cash on the day.  Phone the office on 07 858 3211 for an appointment or for additional information email Barbara directly at bfdromgool@yahoo.com. Messages may also be left on my mobile 0272279422.  It may be possible to obtain subsidised counselling with Barbara from one of the following sources:
  • Family Court  provides full funding for six hours of relationship counselling for couples and separated parents (more info)
  • ACC provides subsidised funding for people with problems related to sexual abuse.  People who have not previously received counselling through ACC are able to access 16 support sessions (more info)
  • WINZ may subsidise counselling for beneficiaries (more info)
  • Workplace support counselling is available through EAP Services, Instep and SEED.  These contracts  provide 3-6 sessions of counselling for some company employees (consult your HR department to see if you are eligible or call our office on 858 3211 to enquire).
  • Cancer Society funds counselling for people with cancer and their families (more info)
  • New Zealand Aids Foundation provides free counselling for people who are infected or affected by HIV i.e both those with HIV or their families (www.nzaf.org.nz)
